Uppsala (Sweden) - 17th to 18th of June 2010

A short 40 minute train ride north to Uppsala, a university town worthy of a quick stopover. Close to the nearby "Stockholm" airport, the perfect place to finish our little tour of Scandinavia. We had a very cruisy afternoon walking up to its pink castle before a sleep in the sun in the castle grounds followed by drinks and nibbles beside the river.
Sweden seems to be doing its bit for the cycle trade, with bikes absolutely everywhere. There is much more danger to pedestrians from bikes that fly along the cycle lanes than cars.
And with that, our 2 week tour of Scandinavia was over. The Norwegian Fjords and Stockholm probably the highlights of two of the most beautiful countries on earth.
