Seville - 18th to 19th of July 2010

We said an emotional goodbye to Portugal, after an awesome 8 days, and jumped back into Spain. And it felt like jumping right into a fire, Seville was roasting at 40 degC plus. But we survived by doing our bit for the bottled water industry, and had a good look around the Alcazar, home to kings and queens for over 11 centuries, now an awesome complex of little palaces and cool courtyards. Then over to the Cathedral, one of the biggest around, for a look at Christopher Colombus´ tomb (supposedly, although his bones are also apparently in the Dominican Republic) and up the torre (one of the few Spanish words we know) for a look over Seville. We had just enough time left for a wander through the orange tree lined streets of Seville before a jug of Sangria and an early night. Seville is a beautiful beautiful city, and we were certainly glad we managed to squeeze it onto our tour.
